Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected and used when you visit webbyvlad.com (the "Site").

The Site is operated by Vladyslav Hrubyi, an independent web developer based in Ukraine ("I", "me", or "my"). I act as the controller of the personal information described below.

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how your information is handled, you can contact me at webbyvlad@gmail.com.

1. Information I collect

Information you provide

When you submit the contact form on the Site, I may collect:

  • your name;
  • your email address;
  • your preferred contact method, such as a Telegram username, phone number, or LinkedIn profile;
  • information you provide about your project or enquiry.

If you contact me directly by email, LinkedIn, Telegram, or another communication channel, I may receive any information you choose to provide through that channel.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, certain technical information may be collected automatically by the Site, its hosting infrastructure, or analytics services.

This may include information such as:

  • IP address;
  • browser and device information;
  • operating system;
  • pages viewed;
  • referring page or source;
  • approximate usage and interaction information.

The exact information collected depends on the services and technologies active on the Site at the time of your visit. The cookie declaration in Section 5 reflects the current position.

2. How I use your information, and on what legal basis

I may use the information I collect to:

  • respond to your enquiry and discuss a potential project. Where you contact me about working together, this is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Where your message concerns something other than a potential engagement, it is based on my legitimate interest in responding to correspondence addressed to me (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR);
  • deliver an agreed project and manage related communication. This is necessary for the performance of our contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR);
  • maintain the security and proper operation of the Site. This is based on my legitimate interest in running a functioning and secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR);
  • understand how visitors use the Site through analytics. This is based on your consent, given through the cookie banner, and can be withdrawn at any time (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR);
  • retain records where accounting or tax rules require it. This is based on compliance with a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR);
  • manage and respond to requests concerning your personal information. This is based on compliance with a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).

Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

I do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.

I do not send marketing emails unless you have specifically requested them.

3. Contact form and Webflow

The Site is built and hosted using Webflow.

When you submit the contact form, the information you provide may be processed and stored by Webflow as part of the form submission process. Webflow may also send an email notification about the submission to the configured recipient.

I use this information only to respond to your enquiry and, where applicable, manage a resulting project.

4. Analytics

The Site may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site and to help improve its content, performance, and usability.

Analytics may collect information about visits, interactions, devices, and general usage patterns.

Analytics technologies are activated only after you provide consent through the Site's cookie settings, where consent is required by applicable law.

Google Analytics provides data-retention controls for user-level and event-level data. The retention period depends on the settings of the relevant Google Analytics property.

5. Cookies and consent

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies.

Essential functionality

Some technologies are necessary for the Site and its core functionality to operate correctly, including basic security and load handling by the hosting infrastructure. These do not require consent.

Analytics cookies

Google Analytics uses cookies to help me understand how visitors interact with the Site. These are non-essential and are set only after you provide consent. If you decline, they are not set and the Site remains fully usable.

How consent is managed

Consent is collected and managed through Cookiebot, a consent management platform provided by Usercentrics A/S. Cookiebot presents the cookie banner, blocks non-essential technologies until you accept them, and stores a record of your choice so that it can be demonstrated later, as required by Article 7(1) GDPR.

You can review or change your cookie preferences at any time through the cookie settings link on the Site. You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings.

Cookies and similar technologies used on this Site

Necessary

CookieConsent (webbyvlad.com). Stores your cookie consent choice for this domain. Expires after 1 year.

_cfuvid (Cloudflare). Used by the hosting infrastructure to distinguish between legitimate visitors and automated requests. Expires at the end of the browser session.

Preferences

preferredLang (webbyvlad.com). Stores the language version of the Site you last selected, so the same language is shown on your next visit. Stored in the browser's local storage and kept until you clear your browser data.

Statistics

_ga and _ga_B26NXJDPHY (Google Analytics). Set only after you accept analytics cookies. They register a unique identifier used to generate statistical data on how visitors use the Site. Expire after 2 years.

This list is maintained manually and reviewed whenever the services used on the Site change. It was last reviewed on 25 August 2026.

6. Who may process your information

Your information may be processed by service providers that I use to operate the Site and provide its functionality, including:

  • Webflow, Inc.: website hosting and contact form processing;
  • Google LLC / Google Ireland Limited: website analytics, where Google Analytics is enabled;
  • Usercentrics A/S (Cookiebot): cookie consent management, including a record of your consent and a truncated IP address;
  • Google LLC (Gmail): email correspondence arising from your enquiry.

These providers may process information on servers located outside Ukraine or the European Economic Area, including in the United States.

Where information is transferred outside the European Economic Area, that transfer relies on the safeguards implemented by the relevant provider, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or, where applicable, certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

I may also disclose personal information where required by law or where necessary to protect my legal rights, the Site, or its users.

7. How long I keep your information

I keep contact information and project enquiries only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • respond to your enquiry;
  • communicate with you about a potential project;
  • manage an ongoing project or related communications;
  • comply with applicable legal or accounting obligations.

When the information is no longer reasonably necessary, I delete it.

Analytics data is retained according to the settings of the relevant Google Analytics property. Google Analytics properties currently allow user-level and event-level retention periods of 2 or 14 months.

Records of cookie consent are retained for as long as needed to demonstrate that valid consent was given.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:

  • request access to personal information I hold about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate information;
  • request deletion of your information;
  • object to or request restriction of certain processing;
  • request portability of information you provided, where processing is based on consent or a contract and carried out by automated means;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • request information about how your personal information is processed;
  • lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority.

To exercise a relevant right, contact me at webbyvlad@gmail.com. I will consider and respond to your request within the period required by applicable law.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in your country of residence, place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement. If you are in Ukraine, the competent authority is the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights.

9. Children

The Site is not directed at children under the age of 16.

I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact me and it will be deleted.

10. External links

The Site contains links to projects and websites operated by third parties.

These websites have their own privacy policies and data-processing practices. I am not responsible for how third-party websites collect or use personal information.

I recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any external website you visit.

11. Changes to this Privacy Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Site, the services I use, or applicable legal requirements.
